The OIP Investment Trust’s governance structure consists of a Board of Trustees, a Board of Managers, advisors and a professional consultant, and senior Management. The Trustees are appointed based on leadership positions held within the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. The Trustees delegate to the Board of Managers (the Board) the operation of the OIP Investment Trust and the decisions of the Board are subject to review by the Trustees. The Board is assisted by advisors and professional consultants (non-voting members). The Board delegates the daily operation of the Trust to the Senior Management team.
The Trustees delegate to a Board of Managers the operation of the OIP Investment Trust - including the development of the investment policy; the strategic asset allocation; and the implementation of the faith consistent investment process including refining the screening, overseeing the active engagement, and the placement of proactive investments (impact investing). The decisions of the Board are subject to review by the Trustees.
The Board delegates the daily operation of the OIP Investment Trust to Senior Management. The operation of the Trust by the Senior Management is subject to bi-annual review by the Board. The Senior Management operates within the parameters defined by the Investment Policy Statement approved and reviewed by the Board. If the Senior Management wishes to engage in an investment that lies outside the parameters of the Policy Statement it must be submitted to the Board for their concurrence/ approval.
